Both books share a set of Dark Souls symbols that are associated with the adjacent drop capitals. This creates a common decryption key that can be used to decipher encrypted messages in the books.
Abyssal Archive’s last page shows a pattern that reveals a secret message. This mirrors the secret message in You Died: The Dark Souls Companion and the secret message in Soul Arts: Presented by VaatiVidya.
